Since
early in 2002, I have been working with artists on developing successful
art businesses. Every artist’s path is different however in
order to develop a successful art business, there are certain universal
business components that I feel are necessary in almost every case.
Things like name recognition, media exposure and a sound pricing
strategy are a few of these components that can make the difference
between being a starving artist and full time artist.
While managing the career of watercolor artist Sinclair Stratton
from 2002 thru 2006, we were able to raise her painting prices from
$500 - $600 for an original watercolor painting to close to $10,000
for the last two commissions I sold for her in 2006. This was not
accomplished by just raising her prices, but it was the result of
a comprehensive business strategy that incorporated an extensive
marketing and exposure plan, the implementation of careful pricing
strategy and the aggressive utilization of both local and national
media.
Since working with Sinclair, I have greatly expanded the artists
I represent. A range of which includes several local emerging artists
up to world renowned painter Armand F. Vallee.
After many years of searching, I have found my passion. A passion
for art and a passion for helping artists achieve their business
goals. My vision is to be of service to artists who are looking for
guidance with the “business” side of being an artist.
In my writings, I incorporate my years of business experience, my
personal experience in managing artists, and my understanding of
how focused mental energy can be utilized to manifest your goals.
What you create as an artist is up to you. However, if you decide
you want to have a successful art business based on your creations,
I know I can help
